Las Lajas is a town located near the major city of David in the Chiriqui province, on the Pacific ocean. It has one of the most popular beaches in Panama, but still remains a relatively undiscovered area. The temperatures in Las Lajas average between 30°C / 86°F during the day and 20°C / 68°F at night.
On weekends, the beach brings many visitors to its brownish sands lined with palm trees. Las Lajas beach is popular because of the friendly waters and lack of strong waves. Although, on occasions, the waves can be favorable for surfing when the tides are right.
The Las Lajas area currently has one major hotel called the Las Lajas Resort.
